The compiz manager tool or compiz config setting manager is a graphical based application and i believe in some situations you might need to run it from command line, so in this article i will show you how to do that.

When your ubuntu desktop is suddenly go crazy, probably because you do something with compiz, and the result is you can't click on anything, your desktop is disappear.

The only thing you can do is pop-up a terminal window and that's it! so how to run/open compiz config manager thing from command line?

You have try typing 'compiz' but it won't work, yeah it's because that's not the right command for running compiz config manager, the correct one is this:

ccsm

That's the correct command for calling the compiz config manager thing, now you can do whatever you need to do with it.
